The character from outsiders I would want for my friend would be Ponyboy. I would want Ponyboy to be my friend because on page two of Outsiders it says that he is a very good student and even skipped a grade. Also on page one of Outsiders he says that he is not that bad looking. He has light brown, almost red hair, long hair, and greenish-gray eyes. It also says that he is a greaser. So I think that he would be a very good friend.
And CUTE TO BOOT!! ~ Mrs. Best
You have been asked to come and speak to the kids in both gangs. What could you say to them that would incorporate your values as a Catholic to help them resolve their differences?
If I had been asked to come and speak to the kids in both gangs I could say to them that would incorporate your values as a Catholic to help them and resolve their differences by talking about what they have done to each other and how they really feel. If they truly want to become different they could talk to the greasers or the Socs and see how they could resolve it by going to confession and apologize to each other. Hopefully that will change their bad ways.
I wanted you to state the Catholic values you would be talking about. :) Mrs. Best
Hi Kathleen!!!!
This is Gina I really agree on what you are saying. I think you spoke well with your words and you had a very well choice of your words.
-Gina- :) Your ideas are exactally what I would say!!
B. Explain what Ponyboy finds out about Randy and the other Socs at the end of Chapter 7.
At the end of chapter 7 Ponyboy finds out that Randy and the other Socs don't really want to proceed in violence and killing greasers anymore. Also that not every Soc is mean or wants to jump or kill any greaser that they see walking on the streets alone. The point is that all people on this Earth are made in God's image and likeness and that it doesn't matter if you are Soc or a greaser you are all people. ~Excellent thoughts! Mrs. Best
A. When we get to know people better, we usually like them more. If that's true, what could we do if we really don't like someone?
When we know people better we tend to act different then if we don't know someone as well. If we don't like someone it doesn't mean that we souldn't be nice to them, we just tend to feel and act differently when we are around them. What we could do is maybe ask them questions like what's your favorite thing to do? Then we could get to know them better. Yes! That way, you would ... GET TO KNOW THEM better!!! ~Mrs. Best
